LCD Soundsystem Create Original Music For Nike

Hopefully you’ve heard the news by now that Nike and Apple have teamed up for a unique and innovative initiative called the Nike+iPod Sport Kit. If not, then you’re probably living in some cave gearing up for the “end times.” Just in case, you can learn everything you need to know here.

Now, on to the good stuff… LCD Soundsystem, the very definition of “cool” amongst even the snobbiest of music fans, have created a 45 minute, 33 second original musical composition exclusively for Nike+iPod. Called 45:33: Nike + Original Run, the uber long, uninterrupted piece of music is available only in the Nike Sport Music section of iTunes. James Murphy, the mastermind behind LCD Soundsystem and 1/2 of the uber-successful production/remix team The DFA, is a runner himself and tailored 45:33 to suit a runner’s needs.

It’s $10 and you can get it here.
