Is your band brilliant and just needs that one kick-ass gig to help get some attention? If you are based in NYC or San Francisco, you just might be in luck. Brookville and Tahiti 80 are on the road and just happen to be looking for a band in each of those cities to be the opening act. Interested?
To enter the contest, your band must first become MySpace friends with both bands. Next, make your submission in a message via MySpace and make sure you specify which city you are interested in – San Francisco or NYC. Members of each band will then check out your band’s MySpace page and will let you know if you happen to be selected. Easy as that!
One winner will be selected in each market, and will be announced on October 30. Winning artists will get a few goodies, including a signed copy of Brookville’s latest album, some treats from Tahiti 80, as well as five guest list spots. The only catch is that you must perform acoustically (no drums) and you need to provide your own transportation to and from the venue… oh yeah… and you won’t get a performance fee either.
