Lollapalooza Stakes Its Claim On Grant Park Through 2011

What does it take to get things done in Chicago? Simple. Money and success… mostly money. Prove that you can bring dollars into this beautiful city’s bank account and kaboom! Mayor Daley gives you the keys to the city. Especially if you’re bringing money to the city’s Park System. Such is the case with Lollapalooza. This year’s event was so large, so great, and so incredibly successful that the historic concert event has just inked a deal with the city to keep its hold on Chicago’s Grant Park through 2011. It probably didn’t hurt that Lolla ‘06 raised more $925,000 for Chicago’s Parkways Foundation - the fundraising arm of the Chicago Park District. So.. congrats Mr. Farrell. Welcome to Chicago! We’re looking forward to next year.
