Metric frontwoman and sometimes Broken Social Scener Emily Haines has released the details of a 17-date North American tour launching in early 2007. Kicking of in Montreal on January 4, the trek will take Haines through major markets across the US and Canada in support of her debut solo album, Knives Don’t Have Your Back.

Though Knives is more quiet and down-tempo than her Metric output, Haines solo shows earlier this year were widely regarded as some of her best work to date. If you want to check it out for yourself, peep the tour schedule below.
