Not to sound overly harsh, but we were pretty shocked when NME posted details about The Bravery’s completion of their sophomore album. They made another album? Apparently so. The follow-up to their self-titled debut will be called The Sun And The Moon, with a vague release date of sometime in 2007.
The new tunes were produced by Brendan O’Brien (Pearl Jam), who helped them drop their ’80s keyboard sound. Speaking to Billboard, frontman Sam Endicott discussed their stepping away from being so electro heavy, saying: “We did it to death a little bit. We were a little sick of it. We went so synth-crazy that it got a little boring to us. It was more like, what does an acoustic piano sound like or what are real organ sounds? That stuff was more exciting to us.”
So what will the new Bravery jams sound like? Well, he described the new song “Every Word Is A Knife In My Ear” as a “weird mix between the Rolling Stones and the Ramones.” WHAT?
