Canadian singer/songwriter Luke Doucet released his first album in the US (second overall) this February via Six Shooter Records (home to Elliott Brood). He spent a good portion of early ‘06 on tour in the States in support of that release, called Broken (And Other Rogue States), opening for Josh Rouse and showcasing at SXSW along the way. Well, Six Shooter, the small Canadian indie he calls home, will be re-releasing Broken, complete with a bonus EP, on October 17 through a new deal with Red Eye distribution.
The EP includes five new, previously unreleased, songs that are only available in the US at retail. The tracks include:

As you might expect, Doucet has lined up another string of tour dates in support of this album, but this time he’s doing it a little differently than before. Doucet has put together a little residency tour for himself that will include multiple nights in New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles (as well as select one-off dates).
