Dylan Broadway Musical Gets Axed

Do you happen to remember that awful clip of the Bob Dylan musical that surfaced after a performance on The View? If you need to refresh your memory and re-live the horror, click here. It turns out that we weren’t the only ones confused by the use of the legendary musician’s song in a Broadway show about a struggling circus. After getting slammed by critics, they are pulling the plug on The Times Are A-Changin’. BOOHOO!

Reuters reported that the show’s final performance will take place on November 19, which ends its run less than one month after it began. After twenty-eight performances, the world will no longer get to watch scary people dressed up like circus freaks bouncing on yoga balls as “rolling stones.” We still aren’t sure what show creator/choreographer Twyla Tharp was thinking, although we thought the same thing about her failed last year’s Lennon as well.

New York columnist Michael Musto said it best by calling it a “mercy killing.” Peace out!
