Two bits of news about everybody’s favorite crackhead, Pete Doherty, arrived in my inbox this morning. First was from Yahoo Music UK, which found a blurb in The Daily Star about Doherty discussing the possibility of opening up his own pub/live music venue in London. Apparently he chatted up the idea with Liam Gallagher, and may go into business together to open the bar in the northern part of the city. The problem is that Doherty may have to operate the pub from jail, which leads us to the next story.
Oh Pete, why can’t you lay off the crack? It comes as absolutely no surprise to hear that he has once again been arrested for drug possession. According to NME, our beloved former Libertines and current Babyshambles vocalist was taken into custody after he was pulled over while driving his Jaguar in London. Doherty was released on bail, as were the other two passengers in the car. Good ol’ Pete is due back in court later this month for one of his previous drug-related arrests. C’mon man… don’t you know that crack is whack?
