Meet the Chicago trio STAR, consisting of guitarist Scott Cortez, bass/beats/drummer Theodore Beck and vocalist Shannon Roberts. Together they bring back all of the best parts of the shoegazer movement of the ’80s and ’90s. Combining the beautiful guitar noise of Jesus And Mary Chain with the whipsery vocals of early Lush and you can see where STAR is going.
