Arctic Monkeys’ Frontman Creates New Band

Exactly how he found time to start another band is pretty mind blowing, but Arctic Monkeys’ frontman Alex Turner did just that. His new band, The Rascals, will be making their live debut next month in Liverpool. Anybody want to take bets as to how long it will be before the US band The (Young) Rascals from the ’60s forces them to change names?

According to Virgin.net, Turner has not only been working on material for his new band, but is also busy writing songs for Arctic Monkeys’ sophomore album. We nosed around a bit and found The Rascals’ MySpace page, which contains a demo of the song “Out Of Dreams.” They don’t have any real information up on the page, and it is rather interesting that Turner isn’t listed as a band member. Check it for yourself at myspace.com/rascalmusic.
