Bis Announces Reunion Shows

I’m not sure which is stranger, the fact that Bis came up in conversation over Thanksgiving dinner or that four days afterwards they have come out of hiding for a reunion. The band came up when my small holiday posse discussed a few of our favorite college radio songs from the ’90s. When the Scottish trio Bis came up, we began to reminisce about the good ol’ days of Grand Royal, Bis and their tour with Pavement.

It is pretty crazy that after having a “where’d they go” chat the band would actually make news just a few days later with a couple of reunion shows. According to NME, they have lined up two shows to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut. Unfortunately for US fans, both nights are taking place across the pond. The first will be on April 6th at King Tuts Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow, with the other on April 7th at an as yet unannounced venue in London.

If you happen to be unfamiliar with the Scottish pop fun of Bis, hop on iTunes and give them a listen. “School Disco” and “Kill Yr Boyfriend” are still mighty great.
