Giant Drag Now Down To One Member

When your band is just a duo, the departure of one member is quite a problem. This happens to be the case for Los Angeles’ Giant Drag, who has announced that drummer and keyboardist Micah Calabrese has departed from the group. News of this floated around as a rumor earlier this week, but has now been confirmed by MTV. Without the multitasking Calabrese, this leaves only Annie Hardy as the face, songwriter and sole member of Giant Drag.

The most recent activity on Giant Drag’s MySpace page is just a note stating that there will be no shows for a while as “GD is making new music.” In fact, the page lists the band members as “annie and whoever feels like doing it,” so aspiring drummer/keyboardists is Los Angeles should note that there is now a job opening! You too could be performing songs such as “My Dick Sux.” Hop to it!
