Baltimore-based ethereal, psychedelic rock five piece Lake Trout will be headlining the Mercury Lounge in New York this Friday. The band will be playing two sets (a rock set and an ambient set) and recording both for a forthcoming live album that will be released in 2007. The release will be a double disk, with disc one (rock set) pulling heavily from Lake Trout’s two PALM Pictures releases – 2002’s Another One Lost and 2005’s Not Them, You – and disc two (ambient set) being a mostly instrumental, highly improvised outing.
So if you want to become a part of Lake Trout history, head over to Mercury Lounge this Friday, yell “Lake Trout Rules!” and maybe you’ll end up on the CD.
