Is the wait of a new Spiritualized album weighing as heavily on you as it is me? Well here’s something to tide you over until Jason Pierce’s new wall of sound, bluesy, space rock opus invades your senses.
Turns out Pierce, aka J. Spaceman, has been asked by artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard to compose a new original score to their modern art piece, “Silent Sound.” Dealing with seances and subliminal messaging, the exhibition was on display in Liverpool from September through November. Missed it? Well, now you have the chance to grab a limited edition signed copy.
The Album consists of two tracks, a live spoken intro from Dr. Ciaran O’Keeffe, a Doctor of Parapsychology who apparently also moonlights on the show, Most Haunted. The second track is a complete live recording of J. Spaceman’s score. A DVD will follow in ‘07.
