We already tipped you off that the voting for the 2007 PLUG Independent Music Awards began. Hopefully by now you have done your duty and voted for your favorite indie acts of the year. If not, well, you are a slacker. The awards ceremony is taking place on February 10th at New York City’s Irving Plaza, and it looks like a good one!
Brooklyn Vegan got the heads up on the line-up, and it is mighty great. Comedian David Cross will be hosting the event, which is reason enough to attend. The bands they have lined up are damn impressive, including Deerhoof, Tokyo Police Club, El-P, Silversun Pickups and Stephen Malkmus with Janet Weiss from Sleater-Kinney. I’m there!
