Zutons Frontman Ends Up In Hospital

When it comes to food and beverages, always stick with what you know… especially when you are in a band that is on the road. Unfortunately, Zutons singer Dave McCabe didn’t follow this advice and landed himself in the hospital. The frontman ended up having an allergic reaction to a drink, requiring him to receive treatment for a bad rash. There was good news for fans wanting to catch the band’s performance in Amsterdam that night, as McCabe was still able to make the trip so the show went on without a hitch.

A spokesperson for the band made a statement on NME.com, which read: “He suffered a reaction to a health drink of all things. He was given a shot of adrenaline because he came up with a bad rash. They wanted to keep an eye on him but fortunately he’s fine now.”

Don’t people normally get rashes from things other than health drinks in Amsterdam? In less itchy news, the band’s comeback single, “Why Won’t You Give Me Your Love?” was released in the UK on Monday. After hearing this song live during SXSW, I will be running out later today to pick up the import. You should too!
