Arctic Monkeys Take On Oasis

A few days ago Gigwise reported that Oasis will be going on hiatus now that all of their touring and commitments are completed. The band claims that they will be back in 2008 and already have enough songs for a new EP in the can. However, I have to wonder if the real reason for the hiatus is because of a killer hangover.

According to The Sun, Noel Gallagher (Oasis) got in a tequila-drinking contest with the Andy Nicholson (Arctic Monkeys). Andy won. Arctic Monkeys 1, Oasis 0.

Geeze, the last time I was in a tequila drinking frenzy I managed to not only yell at innocent people on the street, but the next day I vowed to never do that again. So Arctic Monkeys, if you are reading this, when you come here in a few weeks, don’t bother asking me to a tequila match. I forfeit.
