Last year we were introduced to a great band from the UK, Nic Armstrong & The Thieves. As they toured to support their debut album, The Greatest White Liar, the group shifted and began to share songwriting duties between all four members. Nic, Shane Lawlor, Glynn Wedgewood and Jonny Aitken then changed the band name to IV Thieves and have recently sent out a brand new single, “You Can’t Love What You Don’t Understand.” The track comes from their forthcoming new album, We Can’t Escape My Pretty, which will hit stores via New West Records.
The band is hitting the road here in the US beginning next week in Texas. A good chunk of these dates are as the opening act for The Pretenders. Word on the street is that IV Thieves’ live show is pretty badass, so make a point to catch them if they happen to be rolling through your town.
