Band To Watch: Belaire

Belaire is an unsigned synth-pop band that calls Austin, TX home. Their music sounds like a cross between The Go! Team, Stereolab and Le Tigre, plus if you check out their Myspace page they have an interesting cover of Kayne West’s “Through The Wire” available for download.

Starting back in 2004, their four-member lineup reads like a who’s who in the hip music scene with past and present members of Voxtrot, Arkay, Fozlur, Fancy Feast and Flashlight Fiction. As of right now, they have a self-titled EP and a 7″ called Haunted Castle out on their own, and are currently working on their debut full length that is due out sometime this fall. Until then, get to know Belaire.
