Although their year ended a bit frustrating with the theft of their gear, La Rocca is ready to kick off 2007 with nothing but good vibes. Their song “Sketches (20 Something Life)” has been nominated for song of the year on Australia’s great radio station Triple J. The lads from Ireland made the announcement on their MySpace page, which is a pretty sweet way to begin the new year.
The programmers at Triple J have put together a list of their favorite songs from last year, and now the final decision is up to listeners and music fans. If enough people place “Sketches” in their top 10 songs of ‘06, it will air during the Big Day Out festivals in Australia and could even appear on the station’s Hottest 100 double-disc CD.
