100 Greatest Guitar Solos Ever + The Tab For Each One

Over the weekend, we came across a link on About: Guitar to the 100 Greatest Guitar Solos (as chosen by the editors of Guitar World Magazine). Zeppelin, Hendrix, Clapton, and Van Halen, all make multiple appearances (obviously), as do some more contemporary artists like Kurt Cobain (”Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “In Bloom”) and Billy Corgan (”Cherub Rock,” “Geek USA”).

Apart from giving you ammunition for a great waste of time conversation around the water cooler – one which will inevitably lead to the older, classic rock fans butting heads with the younger, indie rock fans over Jack White’s inexplicable absence from the list – this top 100 countdown also provides “want to be shredders” with the Tablature for each guitar solo in question. That’s right! If you’re practice long and hard enough, you can learn all 100 solos, or more likely… become discouraged after spending hours on ONE solo, only to realize you never will, no matter how hard you practice, sound as good as Jimi Hendrix. Click the link below to check it out for yourself. Good luck!
