Check Out New Tunes From Occidental

Almost a year ago we discovered a little band from Los Angeles called Occidental. The DJ Shadow inspired beats were something that we enjoyed so much we even featured them in one of our podcasts.

We haven’t heard much from them for a while now, so we were glad when we found the following news. The band posted a brand new song on their MySpace page called “Sung,” and they made it downloadable. They also have another month-old track titled “Eminent Domain” that is up there as well.

If you haven’t seen them live yet then be sure and check out one of the dates below. We have yet to catch them in concert, but our spies in LA tell us that they are pretty good.

01.27.07 – Santa Barbara, CA (Muddy Waters)
