Continuing their streak of great signings, the Los Angeles label Dangerbird Records (home of Silversun Pickups, Peter Walker, La Rocca) has added Sea Wolf to their stellar roster. The band is the project of Irving’s Alex Brown Church, who is currently working in Seattle with producer Phil Ek (Band Of Horses, Built To Spill, The Shins) for an upcoming EP and full-length album. Although the dates are far from set in stone, Church mentioned that the EP should be released this Spring, and the LP will hopefully hit stores in September.
Sea Wolf will be rocking some live dates in California in February and March, and will also be making the trip down to Austin for South By Southwest. To get a sample of what Sea Wolf is all about, Church has posted three songs up on the band’s MySpace page to check out. We definitely like what we’ve heard so far!
