Stars co-frontperson and Broken Social Scene member Amy Millan’s solo album, Honey From The Tombs, was easily one of my top albums of 2006. Sure, it may be slightly girly for me to admit that, but there’s no question that miss Millan is quite adept at writing songs that pull at your heartstrings and well, I have heartstrings and sometimes they need pulling. Couple that with the alt-country vibe of the record and shaZam – a recipe made in heaven.
“Skinny Boy,” a song from that exquisite album, was named as one of the top 100 songs of 2006 by Rolling Stone and a video for the track was recently completed. Check it out below.
