The Decemberists will follow up their well publicized, nationally televised “Guitaramageddon” thrash off with Steven Colbert/Peter Frampton on the Colbert Report last December with a full fledged National tour beginning March 21 in Jersey. The 31-date trek comes in support of the band’s Capitol Records debut, The Crane Wife, and will include performances at mostly theater-sized venues. Sufjan Stevens’ pal My Brightest Diamond will support all dates except April 4-6. The band’s publicist has alluded to more “good stuff” from The Decemberists in 2007, but for now all we have for you are these tour dates. We’ll keep you posted.
