Peter Gabriel To Release Next Album Without Label Deal

As Peter Gabriel continues through his fifth decade dealing with the music business, it comes as no surprise that he is taking a stab at self-releasing his next album here in the US. His label deal in North America has run out, so he will test the waters with our shores first before expanding elsewhere.


The founding Genesis member who’s solo career includes such hits as “Sledgehammer” and “Steam” has always pushed the boundaries of music and media, so it should be interesting to see how things go with his upcoming, as-yet-untitled album. His new label, a joint venture with Ingenious Media, will be called High Level Recordings.
