The Prodigy Partners With Cooking Vinyl

Dance pioneers The Prodigy have been seeking a home for their own new record label, Ragged Flag. The group has officially inked a worldwide deal with Cooking Vinyl, who has recently released great albums from Cracker, Seafood and Frank Black.

Ragged Flag will be under complete creative control by Prodigy, which will also serve as the label for their next album as well as new talent that they feel fits their aesthetic. About this partnership with Cooking Vinyl, founding Prodigy member Liam Howlett said: “We have been planning this for a while and we are looking forward to building our label up, starting off with the release of the new Prodigy album. We have recorded a few songs already for this next album and they are sounding big and mean!”

There is currently no tentative release date for the as-yet-untitled new Prodigy record. Until we get some more info, revisit their killer video for “Girls,” off their 2004 album Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned.
