Shy Child have brought the keytar back! We have been fans of this indie-dance duo for a while now, not only from their unbelievably energetic live show and killer album, but also from their remixes of The Futureheads, Archie Bronson Outfit and Editors. Pete and Nate recently toured the US with Hot Chip, and have crossed the big pond for several runs of dates in the UK as well.
2007 is starting off with a bang for Shy Child, with a UK 7″ single coming out on February 12, along with yet another tour overseas. The guys posted the single “Drop The Phone” and its b-side “Down On Yourself” on their MySpace page for a preview. They have definitely taken it up a notch!
For our UK buddies, make a point to catch Shy Child if they happen to be stopping by near you. Their only US date for the time being is January 31at NYC’s Mercury Lounge with Born Ruffians, Ra Ra Riot and Vampire Weekend. Get your dancing shoes ready!
