The Cloud Room Record With Bowie’s Engineer

The last time we heard from NYC’s The Cloud Room was shortly after frontman J’s unfortunate apartment fire. It seems that the band has replaced their lost gear and are once again writing and recording new songs.

J posted a message on their MySpace page, where he said: “The band has been on a long hiatus since turning Muse’s world upside down–literally (ask Steven for details)–to write and record new songs. We were lucky enough to work with none other than Bowie’s engineer, Brandon Mason. Stay tuned in the upcoming weeks for secret info on how to hear them, pick names for them, and generally be a part of this ragtag cult of ours.”

We are quite curious to hear the results of their time with Brandon Mason, who has worked with Secret Machines, New Order, Tony Levin, Mercury Rev, and yes… David Bowie.
