Smashing Pumpkins Release Album In July

By now we all know that Billy got his band back (somewhat), but on July 7 the world will see the fruits of his labor when The Smashing Pumpkins will unleash Zeitgeist, which is a German expression that means “the spirit of the time.”

The album’s name was made public knowledge from a bulletin post made on their MySpace account today. No other info or track listing yet, but they are playing some European festivals this summer.

I wonder if you say the album title three times in a row something cool will happen, like D’Arcy officially joining the band again. Oh, and it should be noted that July 7 (AKA 07.07.07) is a Saturday. Wacky hijinks from the band or is this the truth?
