Although many online music publications and blogs seem to enjoy slagging on Moby, I have a tough time giving him any shit. His early works were part of my introduction to electronic music, and his performance at the now defunct Dallas venue the Bronco Bowl back during the release of his Play album was spectacular. So give the dude a break.
The next release from Moby will be Go – Remixed, which is hitting stores in the UK on March 26. Since he was on V2 here in the US, we have no clue who will be releasing the remix compilation here domestically. Moby is offering up two versions of the album, one being download only with a slightly different tracklisting.
About the upcoming release, Moby said: “These remixes are great, and I can say that objectively because I didn’t do any of them. They were all done by people who are much, much cooler than I. So I just sit back and bask in their reflected glory.” With artists ranging from Mylo to Rollo & Sister Bliss, this should be a good one.
