Although he is so much more than this, Jim Fairchild once played the guitar in a little band you might have heard of called Grandaddy. His newest release, Ten Readings Of A Warning, will hit stores in April via indie darling Dangerbird Records. Almost entirely created on 8-track in living rooms, the album was mixed by Brian Deck (Iron And Wine, Modest Mouse).

All Smiles just played last night with Bright Eyes, and will be doing a month long residency in March at Chicago’s Schubas. If you don’t live in the Windy City, All Smiles will also make an appearance at this year’s music industry spring break for a Dangerbird Records showcase, as well as a performance on XM satellite radio (XMU channel 43).
