Since its inception in the UK eight years ago, DIESEL-U-MUSIC – an initiative to find the best unsigned/underground talent and give them the exposure they deserve – has expanded its annual competition across the globe. DIESEL-U-MUSIC competitions are firmly in place in Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and the US, and this year, they will all be joined together into one massive, worldwide search for the best underground talent on the planet.

DIESEL has pooled together a panel of judges with “the best ears in the industry” and assigned them to a territory. The panel will then come up with a shortlist of three finalists in each genre (total of nine finalists in each territory). The judges will then choose one winner from each genre to bring to the finals in London.

Past winners of the event include The Killers, Mylo, Busdriver, Outhud, The Bravery, We Are Scientists, Louis XIV, prefuse 73, Tom Vek, Madlib, Infadels, The Epochs and DJ Yoda, so as you can see, its all pretty legit.
