The Black Lips were a tad bit late going on today. Apparently their flight not only landed about an hour before they were to perform at the Levi’s/FADER Fort, but their bassist is currently still at the Austin airport as I type this. Yes, they performed bass-less because the authorities are detaining that band member. Interesting gossip aside, the guys strummed through their dirty set, which sounded good considering they were one man down and their effects pedals weren’t quite working.
They even had enough time to make out, or at least swap some spit, during one of the songs. For the hardcore fans out there, they opted to do that rather than exchanging other bodily fluids on stage.
