Austin: Jamie T @ Levi’s/FADER Fort

We’ve been digging on Jamie T for a while now, so needless to say we were pretty psyched about his performance today. He brought along his band, The Pacemakers and before any music was played he gave us all a lesson on how Texas needs to change their diet and eat some fuckin’ veggies. While he is sorta right, we still love our BBQ.

The young band played a pretty straight forward set including “Shelia,” and the punk-a-rific “Brand New Bass Guitar,” both taken from his Panic Prevention album. Speaking of his album, the tunes live were a little less Streets-meets-Lily Allen and more rockin’. Overall, we loved it and from the crowd’s reaction they did too. Oh, and PS: We love that cockney accent!
