Supergrass Begin Work On New Album

Oh happy day! After making records for well over thirteen years, we’re always a bit concerned that each Supergrass album could be their last. The band’s previous record, Road To Rouen, was met with mixed reviews (although we quite enjoyed it). With the mediocre response to Rouen, we were honestly a little concerned that the lads might just call it a day, which we can happily say is definitely not the case this time.

In a recent interview with Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio, frontman Gaz Coombes informed fans that they have been writing new songs and recording demos in their various home studios. They will be heading to Berlin in early April to knock out the album in two to three weeks. He added: “That’s where the enthusiasm is; in what you’ve got coming, in what the future holds. That’s what it’s like for this next record; there’s just some really kind of vibrant, sort of exciting bits of music happening. Just can’t wait to get it down.” Three cheers for new Supergrass!!!

Lets take a walk down memory lane and watch the video for their classic Britpop single, “Caught By The Fuzz.” Enjoy!
