Merge’s The Clientele will be putting out their album, God Save The Clientele, on May 8. Originally from Hampshire, England, the foursome combine their influences of 60’s pop-psych (ie: The Monkees, Love) with smart indie rock (ie: Felt, Television, Galaxie 500). Their new record was recorded in Nashville with producer Mark Nevers, and according to the band’s MySpace page, it will be their biggest to date. The band will be touring starting May 6 in Hoboken, and going until June 9 in Boston. Download “Bookshop Cassanova” for free below!
