Divine Comedy Turns To The Stage

The Divine Comedy’s Victory For The Comic Muse was hands down one of our favorite albums from last year. When our own Erin Chandler spoke with Neil Hannon in November, he hinted that writing a musical was something he’d consider as a future project. That time has now arrived, has he is set to write one for London’s National Theatre.

According to NME, Hannon will pen an adaptation of Arthur Ransome’s novella, Swallows And Amazons. With the orchestral sounds of his previous album, this seems like a fitting move for Hannon. When more concrete information becomes available, we’ll make sure to let you know.
