TV On The Radio’s lead singer can read! True of false? Come decide for yourself on Sunday May 13th at the Village East Cinema, where TVOTR singer Tunde Adebimpe will be guest narrating a screening of acclaimed director Guy Maddin’s latest astonishment, Brand Upon The Brain.

Adebimpe joins a long line of the silent film’s distinguished guest narrators (Crispin Glover, John Ashberry, Joie Lee, Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed) for the film’s New York run.

(He can read, by the way. Total narrator. Funny voices, questionable beatboxing, the whole deal, you’ll see.)

Director Guy Maddin will be present at each screening, and performances will include live music by Ensemble Sospeso and live Foley sound effects by Footsteps Studios. Performances run May 9th-15th at the Village East Cinema 181 Second Ave. New York, NY 10003
