All we can say is HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP! The Happy Mondays have been added to Tony Wilson’s In The City Of New York concert lineup. It appears that the legendary Madchester pioneers will be taking the stage at NOKIA Theatre Times Square on June 13 & 14.
Will we get to see Shaun Ryder treat us to live renditions of “Step On,” “Loose Fit” and “Kinky Afro”? They are listed on the event’s website, so things are definitely looking like a yes. If this is the case, we’re curious to see if Bez will get his affairs in order so he can make it to our shores, since he had to miss out on Coachella due to immigration issues. C’mon Bez! We need your world-famous maraca awesomeness.
Tickets go on sale this Friday at noon via Ticketmaster, so get your credit card and your baggy pants ready.
