Elijah Wood To Portray Iggy Pop In Biopic

Going from a Hobbit to a legendary rock star will make for an interesting change. Elijah Wood is now being reported as taking the lead as Iggy Pop in the upcoming film The Passenger, a biopic of the punk rocker. According to Variety, the movie will focus on the early days of Iggy during his time with The Stooges. It will be directed by Nick Gomez, based on a script written by Eric Schmid.

So how does Iggy feel about the film? He has given it “his blessing,” but don’t expect to see him in any scenes, as he won’t be participating. Does Elijah have the stones to go all out as Iggy?
