Siren Music Festival Date And Initial Lineup

As the future of our beloved Coney Island becomers quite questionable, it might be wise to enjoy this year’s Siren Music Festival while we still can. Before developers transform the cheesy awesomeness of Astroland to some form of “classy” resort, we want another round of funnel cakes, foam cups of beer and some spins on vomit-inducing carnival rides.

This year’s Siren Music Festival will be taking place on Saturday, July 21. Although more bands will be announced soon, so far the lineup includes New York Dolls, We Are Scientists, Matt and Kim, The Black Lips, Dr. Dog, Noisettes, Lavender Diamond, The Detroit Cobras, Elvis Perkins and The Twilight Sad. It is really tough to beat a summer day with great music, a few Nathan’s hot dogs and a couple of rides on the Cyclone roller coaster. I can already feel the sunburn.
