Alan McGee + Gary Crowley Launch Music Television Show

Well that didn’t take long. Alan McGee announced last week that he was giving up on record labels to concentrate on being a consultant. Well it now appears that Mr. McGee has more than just helping bands up his sleeves. Recently he has announced that he is going to be joining up with radio DJ Gary Crowley to launch several shows on an alt music and lifestyle TV channel.

Called Rockworld.TV, the station will broadcast on SKY Channel 368 in the UK and online at www.rockworld.tv. According to NME, their aim is simple; to present a monthly TV version of McGee’s club night, Death Disco, which will be filmed with a live audience at The Cuckoo Club in London. The program will also feature three bands playing live and their first episode will feature The Holloways, Reverend And The Makers and The Chavs (broadcasting July 20).
