Sharon Jones Returns With New Album

The female James Brown, Sharon Jones, will be releasing 100 Days, 100 Nights on their self-owned indie label, Daptone Records, on September 25th. The Daptones have been keeping themselves busy lately by performing as Amy Winehouse’s backing band on tour and on her album, Back To Black. And if it seems like Sharon Jones is the hardest working female in show business, well you might be right. When seeing Jones on a Rocks Off boat cruise last year, Jones, before going on for an encore, whispered in my ear, “We don’t stop, do we sugar?” Brilliant.
