Spiritualized Prepares New Album For End Of 2007

Feeling a bit mellowed out? Need the perfect record to fit such a mental state? You’re just in luck, as Jason Pierce has brought Spiritualized back to life. The British group, known for such mind-blowing albums as Pure Phase and Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space, is currently finishing up a new LP for release this winter. Yes, as in a brand spankin’ new release before the end of 2007!

Spiritualized has a handful of European dates over the summer for a tour titled Acousitc Mainlines. The performances will feature music from both Spiritualized and Pierce’s previous group Spacemen 3. He will be backed by strings and gospel singers, so those should be some amazing sets. Will somebody please buy us some plane tickets so we can fly out for one of these performances? Pretty please?
