Yeah Yeah Yeahs Plan Live DVD, EP Release

One thing is for sure, Yeah Yeah Yeahs never cease to amaze us. The last we heard from them, they were performing a special free show for fans. Now, the trio is back with some older material. On July 24 the band will release Is Is, an EP whose songs were written in 2004 between touring Fever To Tell.

So what makes this little release so cool? Three of the tracks (”Rockers To Swallow,” “Down Boy and “10×10″) were previously only available on the Tell Me What Rockers To Swallow DVD. Also, “Down Boy” is the studio version of a demo that was on a limited edition split single with Liars. In addition to the EP coming out, the group also has a special live DVD that was co-directed by KK Barrett (Sofia Coppola films) and Lance Bangs (Sonic Youth, Nirvana). It features those special free shows that were recorded in Brooklyn last month.
