Graham Coxon Teams Up With Paul Weller For New Single

Two UK legends in their own right, Paul Weller and Graham Coxon have teamed up together to release a single for the Regal Recordings Singles Club. Available digitally July 2, and on 7″ July 30, the release will be limited to 5,000 copies.

The single includes three songs, “This Old Town” (the Coxon/Weller collaboration), “Each New Morning” (Coxon composition) and “Black River” (written by Weller). Graham commented on the piece stating, “As a long time admirer of Paul I never dared imagine getting a chance to work with him so I was bricking it when we first met…but he is an absolute gent and a shockingly great singer and musician. It’s been a total pleasure.” Paul Weller added, “I’ve always been a big fan of Graham’s and love his work so it was exciting for me to work on something new with him.”

The singles club was originally launched as a result of the Regal indie (under Parlophone) reaching a number one status last summer with Lily Allen’s “Smile.” Since then, the label has released a new single each month and will continue to do so for a total of one year. In essence, twelve singles from twelve acts.
