Brother/sister duo, The Fiery Furnaces, have been lying low lately. All that will change soon as the band are planning on putting out a new record (finally) on October 9. This will be the first release of theirs via Thrill Jockey, even though it will be their sixth LP total.
As of right now all the deets are still unknown, but we do know that the album title will be Widow City, and it was produced by band member Matthew Friedberger near Lake Michigan. It was also engineered by Bill Skibbe and Jessica Ruffins, and mixed by John McEntire at Soma Studios in Chicago. Some of the tracks will include “Ex-Guru.” “Clear Signal From Cairo,” “Widow City,” “My Egyptian Grammar” and our favorite title yet, “Restorative Beer.”
