The ladies of Northern State are back with their third full-length album, Can I Keep This Pen. It will be coming out on August 28 via their new label home, Mike Patton’s Ipecac Recordings. The tunes were produced by Chuck Brody from Shitake Monkey, along with the one and only Adrock from the Beastie Boys. Sound too good to be true? Well it isn’t!
We’ve had our hands on the album for a while, and it is impressive to say the least. To celebrate the release, Northern State have lined up a massive amount of performances. They also have a couple of dates with Cat Empire, along with a bunch joining Tegan & Sara in Canada and the US.
