Rough Trade Joins The Beggars Group

In an interesting turn of events, the legendary record label Rough Trade has now joined the Beggars Group. Rough Trade’s history is well known, with signings ranging from The Smiths to The Libertines. With the collapse of Sanctuary Records, Beggars purchased their interest in the label.

Rough Trade will now join Beggars roster, which also includes Matador, 4AD, XL Recordings, Playlouder, Too Pure and several others. We’re quite interested to see what happens to the North American distribution deal that Rough Trade made with the US company World’s Fair.

We’re sure that much more info will be floating our way soon about all things Rough Trade. So now who do we need to hit up for a copy of the new Super Furry Animals record?
